Extreme Desert Safari and Sandboarding

IRSHAD, our tour guide/driver arrived to pick us up from our hotel, JA Palm Tree Court. He informed us of his arrival prior to the 8.15 pick up time. Irshad politely welcomed us to the tour and thoroughly outlined our itinerary as we departed the hotel. The hour long journey to our desert safari adventure proved to be very interesting and informative, Irshad was able to answer any questions we had about the tour and Dubai. The sand blasting experience proved that Irshad was a very experienced and capable driver. He also gave us good, clear instructions, with patience, while attempting the sand boarding, which was great fun. Easier going down than walking back up the dune. We had the option of hiring various sand dune buggies and a camel ride after our sand blasting experience, having done both of these before we chose not to take up the offer.
Overall a very enjoyable half day trip from a professional tour guide who spoke very good English.

We took the private tour with Shiru. It was a great experience! Shiru explained us everything we we learnt so much!
The safari is 1hr drive outside Dubai, and it’s strongly recommended to take the early morning / evening tours when the temperatures are getting lower. we’ve done the short version due our limited stay. The dune bashing is crazy! Not for the faint heart. Shiru was very experienced with the activity so we wasn’t worried. Middle of the activity we’ve stopped for a sandboarding. It’s not like snowboarding at all so if you got experience at snowboarding it’s not relevant here lol.
Overall we had great tour, and we’ll for sure book again with EPT once we’re back to Dubai.

Excellent experience really enjoyable. Nasir was helpful, informative and curteous using car journeys to point out points of interest and local information. Was guided as to prices to pay for extra photos, head scarves etc and was made to feel comfortable and valued. Experience itself was fantastic and unique, whilst sandboarding is relatively short period of time (15-20 mins) it’s all we needed as is tiring walking up dunes combined with heat. We were rushed in no way and had plenty of time to take own photos. Can’t recommend enough as an experience and Nasim as a guide.
